i Love Hula Collection
The i Love Hula Collection -- is inspired by none other than the LOVE FOR HULA! In Ancient Days, Hula served many purposes, one of which was a means of Communication . . . it was one way to inform the Hawaiian Monarchy of the "Goings On" back then. It also served as a form of Entertainment, almost the same as it does today . . . but not quite exactly; Back in the Day, Women were absolutely FORBIDDEN to participate in HULA ceremonies and events.
Here at HULAWOOD, HI, Everyone is Welcomed to Join Us in this Colorful World of Hulawood, HI and its Quirky Characters . . . Help Us Celebrate Modern Day Polynesian Cultural Arts.

Signature Design
The SIGNATURE DESIGN for the "i Love Hula" Collection was created with this hand drawn watercolor illustration of Tropical Monstera leaves as the background (Found on CANVA). The Different Shades of Green are visually appealing and provides a wonderful contrast to the white font of the "i Love Hula" signature mark; a little touch of Aloha with a peach-pink heart completes the SIGNATURE DESIGN for the "i Love Hula" Collection.
One of the symbolic meanings represented by the Life of a Monstera, has Special Significance for Hulawood, HI: "HO'OMAU" - ENDURANCE; which is illustrated by The Monstera's ability to survive a variety of conditions against all odds, and still thrive in resilience . . .
It Reminds Us to Keep the FAITH; Hang On To HOPE; Breathe ALOHA; and Live PONO.
Have Fun Shopping the Signature Design for the "i Love Hula" Collection.

HULA with KAONA
Hula is a form of dance based on Cultural Traditions of Storytelling, Sharing News and Documenting Events
Sooo . . . What is HULA with KAONA?
KAONA = Hidden Meaning
As Any Hula Dancer can tell you, KAONA plays a major role in Hula
It helps make a Difference between TELLING a Story and SHOWING a Story
One of My Favorites is the song commonly known as "The Hawaiian War Chant"... which is not about Hawaiians at war at all. Written by Prince Leleiohoku in the 1860s, the original name is "Kaua i ka huahua'i", which means "The two of us in the spray". It describes two lovers near a waterfall in Nu'uanu, both enveloped in its misty spray . . . at least, that's what Kumu's Story was during one of our KS Song Contest Rehearsals . . . And I'm Sticking To It -- LOL !!
